How Quality Improvement Network Ltd Would Work with a Client Company?

The implementation process follows a number of clear stages but is tailored to the company's precise needs and their start position. The stages, which form the framework for each project, are:

1 . Develop Tailored Proposal and Project Plan

Make client aware of the best practice TPM approach, understand the start position which may include carrying out a 30 point TPM audit which identifies the clients strengths and weaknesses in key areas. From this a tailored plan can be agreed with target outcomes for the project. This may include recommending a benchmarking study .

2 . Company pilot programme introduction

This stage will include practical training in workplace organisation and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).

- This phase also includes feedback analysis from the TPM audit

- Establishment of TPM structure usually integrating with all Business Improvement Techniques.

- This will also include agreement on policy and objectives including pilot and roll out programmes.

3. Workplace Organisation - Process mapping including Process and product flow to assist in understanding and developing key measures. This stage will include the development of visual management techniques and will also develop the teams in using problem solving tools.

4. Development of a Maintenance Strategy that will include autonomous operator training with a focus on planned and preventative, predictive and designed out maintenance, enhancing ownership, capacity planning etc

5. Progress and results review is integrated into the programme with clear introduction of measures & targets. Each project will be based on Invest NI BIS project model that includes a case study approach
