Introduction

The OFE package provides an all in one method of monitoring the effectiveness of your equipment in real-time. The subsequent results gained can be used to identify problems which otherwise could remain unknown. The problems can then be targeted and in-turn, improve the effectiveness of the equipment.

Overview

The OFE Monitoring Software is installed on a computer at or near the equipment to be analysed. A touch-screen computer rated to IP65 is recommended for most manufacturing environments. The interface is hard-wired to the equipment to provide the necessary signals to the software. These signals can be either analog (for machine speed etc) or digital (for product count etc) or both. A typical screenshot is shown on the right (top). This shows the operator currently logged on, the amount of product produced (both good and reject), the current Job number (product type) running, and the speed of the machine. Data is sent to the server at preset intervals.

Pic7The OFE Analysis software resides on the server. Anyone with access to the server can run the software. Typical screenshots are shown on the right (middle and bottom). The user immediately can see the status of the equipment being monitored. The OEE is shown along with a breakdown of the associated categories. Previous data can be viewed by selecting the required date. Configuration of all the equipment being monitored can be performed from the Analysis Software. Operator names, job numbers, OEE reason codes and categories can be transmitted to the Monitoring software – this eliminates the need to visit every machine to perform changes.

Charts are generated for immediate visual indication of results.
